Gardaí appealing for witnesses following serious traffic collision in Dublin

A pedestrian suffered serious injuries.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision between a pedestrian and an SUV in Dublin on Saturday night (11 December).

The incident occurred on Georges Street at approximately 9pm.

The female pedestrian, aged in her 30s, has been taken to St James Hospital to be treated for serious injuries.

The driver of the SUV was uninjured.

A technical examination was conducted by Forensic Collision Investigators, and the road has re-opened.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward. Any road users who were travelling in the area at the time and may have camera footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
