He will appear in court on Thursday morning.
A serving member of An Garda Síochána has been arrested and charged as part of an investigation of offences in relation to coercive control.
The man, aged in his 40s, was arrested on Wednesday, 9 June 2021 and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 in Lucan Garda Station.
He has since been charged and will appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice (Court 1) on Thursday morning, 10 June 2021 at 10.30am.
The man is currently suspended from An Garda Síochána.
