Seven guns found in West Dublin raid
Multiple guns were found in Dublin yesterday.
Investigators with the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau seized seven firearms during a search undertaken at a location in West Dublin on Wednesday (1 July). The operation involved the targeting of persons suspected to be associated with serious organised criminal activity.
The guns have been sent to the Garda National Technical Bureau (GNTB), where they will subject to technical examination.
A photo shared on the official An Garda Síochána shows the nature of the firearms in question.
Speaking today, John O’Driscoll, Assistant Garda Commissioner for Organised and Serious Crime said: "The undertaking of this operation leading to the discovery of a significant quantity of firearms reflects the Garda Síochána's unrelenting efforts in tackling serious and organised crime and our determination to keep people safe from those who would use firearms to endanger life."
No arrests were made as a result of the search.
