Several revellers injured following crush outside Copper Face Jacks

An 18-year-old woman was in a critical condition in St. James Hospital last night after she was seriously injured in a crush that occurred on Harcourt Street.

An 18-year-old woman was in a critical condition in St. James Hospital last night after she was seriously injured in a crush that occurred on Harcourt Street.

There were some frightening scenes on Harcourt Street at around midnight last night as a massive crush formed close to the popular nightclub Copper Face Jacks. The crush is believed to have formed in the narrow lane that joins Harcourt Street to Camden Place.

Seven people suffered injuries in the crush with four of those being taken to hospital for further evaluation and reports suggest there were roughly 1,500 people in the vicinity at the time.

One young woman who was in a critical condition following the crush was taken to St. James Hospital in the early hours of this morning, but according to reports from the Irish Independent, the young woman in question is now stable and conscious.
