Shaun Duffy was fatally wounded in his home in January of 2005.
Gardaí have issued a new appeal concerning the murder of Shaun Duffy, who was attacked and fatally wounded in his Donegal home 17 years ago.
36-year-old Duffy was discovered in his home shortly before 2.30pm on Saturday, 29 January, 2005.
He had been socialising in the Strand View Bar in Maghery on Friday before continuing to socialise at a house in Meenacross, Dungloe.
Duffy subsequently returned to his home at approximately 2.30am.
Investigating Gardaí believe that a number of people have yet to come forward who may now be in a position to assist bringing those responsible to justice.
Gardaí believe that due to the passage of time, some person may now be able to provide information that they were unable to disclose at the time of the murder, or perhaps someone who did provide information may be able to further elaborate on what they had previously disclosed.
