Man injured following shooting incident in Dublin

Two men have been arrested in connection with a shooting incident that took place in Dublin on Friday afternoon, 13 May.

Both men are aged in their 20s and have been detained under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939, at Finglas Garda Station.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information or anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward. They are particularly keen for anyone who camera footage – including dash-cam – to make this available.

A man has been injured following an apparent shooting incident in Dublin on Friday, 13 May.

Gardaí attended the scene at St Margaret’s Road in Finglas shortly before 6pm.

A man aged in his 20s is understood to have suffered non-life threatening injuries as a result of the incident.

Gardaí have preserved the vicinity in order to carry out a forensic examination.

Local traffic diversions have been put in place.

According to RTÉ News, the man was shot in the leg just after 5pm.

It is currently unknown if the shooting is connected to an ongoing criminal feud associated with the area.

Investigations are ongoing.
