Services are suspended until further notice

Services at Dublin's Heuston Station have been hit with significant disruption following a 'tragic incident' on one of the train lines.

Iarnród Éireann announced that services are suspended between Kildare and Newbridge following a report of a tragic incident on the line at approximately 2.20pm this afternoon.

Emergency services are at the scene of the incident, an Irish Rail spokesperson confirmed.

The line between Kildare and Newbridge is closed and there is significant disruption on all Heuston Commuter and Heuston Intercity routes.

In the most recent update, it was confirmed that Phoenix Park Tunnel Services are operating to Hazelhatch, and that the 4.25pm Cork to Heuston service was cancelled.

"We are working to arrange bus transfers," said an Irish Rail spokesperson this afternoon.
