Jessica died following the Sligo tragedy on Wednesday afternoon
Tributes have been pouring in for Sligo woman Jessica McLoughlin after she was struck by a train on Wednesday, June 14th.
The woman, aged in her 40s, passed away after she was hit by a train shortly after 4 pm. One of Jessica's relatives was also injured in the accident but she is being treated in hospital.
Gardaí issued a statement following Jessica's death. They confirmed an investigation is now underway following the tragedy. The incident took place on the train line at Knocks Park, Ballisadare, Co. Sligo.

'Dark cloud over Sligo'
Gardaí confirmed one woman was fatally injured in the accident. Another woman, aged in her 20s, was taken to Sligo University Hospital.
The other woman has serious injuries, but they are not believed to be life-threatening.
"The Coroner has been notified. Forensic Collision Investigators are en route to the scene," they added.
Tributes have been pouring in for Jessica since the incident.
The community is reportedly in shock following her untimely death. One person said there is "a dark cloud over Sligo this evening". Another added, "Sending love and prayers to all affected by this tragedy. The community, the driver, Emergency crews, and all those people on the train."
A local councillor confirmed to IrishIndependent that Jessica had children.
