The age of the influencer is a curious time indeed…

Whether you love or loathe the Kardashian/Jenner clan, you can’t deny their influence over a huge section of society.

Well, you shouldn’t, anyway.

After pretty much causing Snapchat to lose €1.3 billion in one day thanks to a single tweet, Kylie Jenner’s incredible knock-on effect continues with the news that Facebook’s market value jumped by $13 billion in the days following her damning 18 words in question.

TMZ reports the colossal leap at the close of the market on Friday as Facebook rose from $519.97 billion on 22 February to $532.86 billion the following day.

Snapchat, meanwhile, went from $22.78 billion on Wednesday, dropping down to $21.40 billion in the 24 hours following Jenner’s diss, before roughly holding firm on $21.41 billion by close of business Friday.

So, whether it’s creating colossal long-form tension over a pregnancy, or directly affecting the fortunes of the biggest companies in the world, it would appear that Kylie Jenner is indeed at the very top of the social media mountain.

What happens next is anyone’s guess…
