Ireland has a brand new millionaire after one lucky Lotto player managed to bag themselves almost €2.9 million in Wednesday night’s jackpot.

The winner matched all the numbers in the main draw, which boasted a jackpot of €2,895,277.

The winning numbers were 5, 21, 25, 29, 41, 43 and a bonus number of 31.

The National Lottery has confirmed that the winning ticket was sold in County Cavan.

There were no big winners in the Lotto plus 1 draw, which saw the princely sum of €500,000 rollover for another week.

The numbers in the Lotto plus 1 draw were: 17, 20, 31, 34, 38, 43 and a bonus number of 35.

There was also no winner of the Lotto plus 2 draw, worth €250,000. The numbers in that draw were: 1, 4, 11, 23, 46, 47, and a bonus number of 40.

There were 76 winners of the Raffle Prize, with each winner receiving €300. The winning number was 9441.

Saturday night’s Lotto jackpot is set to be an estimated €2 million.

There seems to be something in the water this week, as not only did one Irish EuroMillions player win €1 million in the Ireland Only Raffle, another player struck it rich in the Daily Millions draw.

The ticket was sold at Tramore Service Station, Waterford Road, Tramore, Co Waterford.
