The latest development.

Sony Music is set to end its working relationship with producer Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald, according to TheWrap.

Only a few weeks ago a judge ruled that Kesha would not be allowed to break her with the music producer despite claims that he had raped her 10 years ago by using a pill to ‘knock her out’.

Dr Luke claims that these allegations are “outright lies that have been advanced to extort a contract renegotiation and money”.

According to The Wrap, “knowledgeable individuals” claim that the label looks set to end their working relationship with the producer, a year before his contract expires.

They’ve reported that the swell of public support towards Kesha combined with the backlash from the #FreeKesha movement, from notable celebrities and the public alike,  has put pressure on Sony to remove the producer from their label.
