A topless photo of a female teacher was found on a device in a school in south Dublin last week, according to a report in The Herald.
A student from the school is reported to have found the photo on a laptop or tablet and then proceeded to then share the image on social media.
The Herald reports that the male student was suspended from school following the incident, and an investigation is now being launched.
The student is believed to have been suspended, but it has not yet been confirmed if any action was taken against the teacher, which is said to have angered parents of students in the school.
