Bomb disposal unit responds to reports of suspect device in north Dublin

The device was discovered on Sunday evening.

Gardaí have attended the scene following reports of the discovery of a suspect device in north Dublin.

A Garda spokesperson confirmed that members of An Garda Síochána are on scene at Springdale Road in Edenmore, Raheny as of Sunday evening.

The suspect device was reported at approximately 5pm.

The road has been closed off as Gardaí attend to the incident.

The Army Bomb Disposal Unit has been notified of the situation and is scheduled to attend the scene.

Investigations are ongoing.
