It has been labelled as ‘unacceptable’
Hotels have been slammed across social media after upping their prices ahead of the Oasis gigs next year.
The band have announced that they are reuniting for the first time since 2009 with a new UK and Ireland tour, including two nights in Croke Park on August 16 and 17, 2025.
After the announcement, hotels immediately ramped up their prices, with most Dublin hotel rooms surpassing €400 for a night.
Thomas Pringle, Independent TD for Donegal said the rising prices were “outrageous” and called out the government’s inaction.
“Dublin hotel prices are skyrocketing again, this time for Oasis, pushing live events out of reach for many,” Mr Pringle said on Twitter.
“Whether it’s music or sports, rural fans are hit hardest by this relentless price gouging. The government’s inaction is just as unacceptable!”

‘This is outrageous’ – Hotels slammed for upping prices ahead of Oasis gigs
As well as Dublin, Oasis are also performing multiple gigs in Cardiff, Manchester, London and Edinburgh.
A top hotel in Manchester has reportedly cancelled customers’ bookings on Oasis gig nights before relisting them for a much higher price later.
Taking to X last night, Sacha Lord, the night time economy adviser for Greater Manchester, wrote that he had been contacted by “several people” who had been told that a “computer error” had let to the cancellation of their rooms at a Maldron hotel in Manchester.
He claimed that the hotel, which is part of the larger Maldron chain, had put the rooms “back up for three times the price”.
One Oasis fan told Sky News that he booked to stay at the four-star Maldron Hotel in Manchester on a date of the gigs.
He took to booking.com to make the £90 reservation yesterday morning upon the band announcing their reunion tour, but was told his reservation was cancelled due to a “technical error”.
A spokesperson for the Maldren hotel group apologised for the technical error and have stopped bookings while they investigate the issue.
