A teenager has died after being struck by a car in Cork.
The collision occurred in Hoffman Park in Little Island on Friday night.
Gardaí received a report that a pedestrian had been struck by a car and attended the scene around 11.50pm.
The 19-year-old man was brought from the scene to Cork University Hospital but unfortunately passed away on Saturday.
The scene has been forensically examined and Gardaí are now appealing to anyone witnesses of the incident to come forward.
Road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam footage and were travelling in the area between 11.00pm and midnight on Friday 17th April 2026, are asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
