Temperatures are also forecasted to reach the mid-20s next week.

Met Éireann has said temperatures this weekend will possibly reach as high as 21 degrees in parts of the country, while a mix of sunny spells and showers is on the cards.

According to the forecaster, Saturday will be dry in many areas with occasional sunny spells but also “a good deal of cloud”.

Isolated showers will then develop throughout the afternoon and evening, mainly in the east and south of the country, with temperatures ranging from 14 to 18 degrees in light to moderate breezes.

Sunday will begin largely dry, with some sunshine but also clouds building up, making a few well-scattered showers likely to develop.

Temperatures will range from 16 to 20 degrees generally in light to moderate breezes, but may possibly reach as high as 21 degrees in the south.

However, it may also be a little cooler in the far north and northwest.

Met Éireann’s summary for next week says temperatures will increase and conditions will become more settled with good sunshine at times.

Temperatures between 20 and 24 degrees are forecasted for Tuesday before rising to “the mid-twenties” later in the week.

Met Éireann’s outlook reads: “Mainly settled with a good deal of dry weather and just some showers at times. Feeling rather pleasant with sunny spells, light winds and temperatures up to the mid-twenties.”
