Temperatures to soar to 26 degrees next week before drastic change brings thunderstorms and spot flooding

There will be some "good spells of sunshine" on the cards for the early part of the week anyways.

Temperatures are set to soar to 26 degrees next week as "good spells of sunshine" are to continue throughout Ireland. Highest temperatures are set to reach between 17 to 21 degrees today with plenty of spells of sunshine and the good news is, the weather is set to remain nice throughout the early parts of next week according to Met Éireann. Monday will be very warm with good spells of sunshine in many areas and highest temperatures of 20 to 25 degrees. Conditions will be dry and very warm yet again on Tuesday before becoming more unsettled from Wednesday onwards with showers at times and temperatures dropping back to the high teens or low 20s. Tuesday will be dry and very warm, with long spells of sunshine and highest temperatures soaring to between 22 to 26 degrees. Meanwhile, Wednesday will also bring a fair amount of dry weather. However, scattered showers will develop through the day, becoming heavier and more widespread through the evening and night with highest temperatures of 20 to 24 degrees. Thursday will be a showery day with widespread heavy showers and a possibility of thunderstorms and some spot flooding. Highest temperatures will hit 19 to 21 degrees. There will be more sunshine and showers on Friday, however, they shouldn't be as heavy or as widespread with highest temperatures of 17 to 20 degrees. Current indications suggest that next weekend will bring a fair amount of dry weather and some scattered showers with temperatures in the mid to high teens.
