The best place to raise a family in Ireland has been revealed

Apparently, this is the best county to raise a family in Dublin

Mayo has topped the list as Ireland’s most family-friendly county. Offering an appealing lifestyle with relatively affordable houses (€199,500). The county has a low crime rate of 297 incidents per 10,000 residents, 151 primary schools, and 26 post-primary schools.

Mayo also offers families both security and strong educational opportunities. 

Donegal came in at second place as the second-most affordable county in the top 10; its median house prices of €165,000 are a big draw for families. Boasting 171 primary schools, 27 post-primary schools, and a wealth of green spaces (5.7 nature and parks per 10,000 residents), it delivers a well-rounded environment for family life. 

Kerry follows in third place, while house prices are slightly higher at €260,000, the county stands out for its exceptional access to green space, with 7.1 parks per 10,000 residents, and the everyday convenience of over two supermarkets per 10,000 residents, making everyday life both active and accessible. 

Kildare faces the biggest challenges when it comes to family-friendly living, with high housing costs (€415,000 median price), limited green space (0.8 parks per 10,000 residents), and high crime levels (510.5 per 10,000 people).
