Big news…

Recently we had a report that the Church of Scientology would be opening an office in Dublin October and yesterday was the day as the ribbon was officially cut.

The new Church of Scientology National Affairs Office has opened its doors in Merrion Square which they say will be used to to offer permanent delivery of Scientology-supported social betterment programs in Ireland.

Scientology’s Executive Director for Dublin Ger Collins previously said that there would be five Sea Org members posted and living in the office as well as 5 full-time but non SO OSA Office of Special Affairs staff.

He also said: “It will also be a PR base to host VIPs and government officials. The building itself has huge potential, and when it will be fully renovated it will be amazing, and something we will all be very very proud of!”

This latest office is one of a number of new branches around the world in recent months with even more planned over the next year.

“By opening the doors of the Church of Scientology National Affairs Office for Ireland, we are continuing in the tradition of our Founder L. Ron Hubbard who himself held an office at 69 Merrion Square,” said David Miscavige, Chairman of the Board of the Religious Technology Center and ecclesiastical leader of the Scientology religion.

The church has long be shrouded in controversy as recently as Louis Theroux’s My Scientology Movie, which still has not received the green light to be shown in Ireland.

The chilling trailer for that movie can be seen here.
