Former Belvedere College and DCU student, Marc Owens, has had his fair share of ups and downs over the past few years as he has unfortunately had the though task of battling Stage IV soft tissue sarcoma; a particularly aggressive and rare form of cancer.
According to MarcOwensMedicalFund.com, “Stage IV soft tissue sarcoma is a particularly aggressive and rare form of cancer, of which there are less than 200 known cases worldwide. In a matter of days, this fun-loving, sports-mad, happy-go-lucky boy had become a cancer patient with dismal prospects.”
Recently, Marc’s sister Aisling got onto The Rock’s management company explaining Marc’s story and asked if the big man could send a message of support to her older brother.
So, being the legend that he is, The Rock obliged.
