There’s a Father Ted festival happening in London this Saturday

Ah go on, go on, go on, go on.

If you’re Irish and living in London, you can’t miss this.

Tedfest, which is exactly what it sounds like, is making it’s London debut this weekend.

The Father Ted-themed festival, which has enjoyed nine years of success on the Aran Islands, is making its overseas debut in the London Irish Centre in Camden Square and it’s not to be missed.

While the original Tedfest usually lasts a whole weekend, the London-based version will run from midday to midnight on Saturday, July 11th.

To us, it sounds like a fantastic way for ex-pats to find some friends from the old country, or possibly more. After all, there’ll be a Lovely Girls Contest, a Craggy Island Céilí and Matchmaking with Nellie.

Other events include an Italia ’90 Disco with DJ Sr Packie McScratchy and a Priests Dance Off.

Anyone looking for some Father Ted-themed mayhem, or simply in search of some entertainment and nostalgia, can purchase tickets for the festival here.

Ah, go on.
