A 90-metre ride down Bray Head at 25kph. Where do we sign?

You might remember a story we had a few months back about a weekend festival in Bristol where they installed a massive waterslide right down the slightly sloping main street of the city. It looked like great craic and we asked at the time that towns all over Ireland got cracking at doing something similar here.

Well the folks in Bray have heard our call and the upcoming 2014 Bray Summerfest will have a very similar feature.

On July 12 and 13, Bray Head Slide will be a fully functioning, 90-metre slip and slide that you can fly down at 25kph on an inflatable mattress.

Just 700 lucky folks will get to have a go on the slide so you have to register to have a shot. You have until Sunday to get in the draw, for free, and the 700 sliders will be chosen at random. Just click here to get your name down. Fingers crossed we’ll see you there.
