If you're looking for a final bargain the cheapest county to be buried in is Wexford, where a standard funeral costs €3,408.
While the national standards for graveyard plots vary widely your final resting place is a decision of eternal importance and despite being slightly more reasonable for funeral costs Dublin's inflated property market extends six-feet-under and a plot in Deansgrange cemetery could set you back €32000.
