The death toll from Thursday night’s attack has risen to 84, with hundreds of others hurt.
France is today in shock and mourning as on Thursday night, a truck drove through crowds of people celebrating Bastille Day in Nice, killing 84 and injuring many others.
The Bastille Day fireworks had just ended when the truck drove for 2km down the promenade crashing into revellers.
Reports claim that the driver was a 31-year-old Tunisian man known to police but not known to the intelligence services.
The attack happened at 10.30pm local time.
Tributes have been widely shared on social media using #PrayForNice following the Bastille Day tragedy.
