Three Irish universities have made it into the top 150 Young Universities of the world

Carl Kinsella

Three Irish universities have named among the world’s best third-level institutions under 50 years old.

Dublin City University, University of Limerick and NUI Maynooth have all been honoured with a place in the top 150 ‘young’ universities, an index which employs the same metrics as The Times’ Higher Education World University Rankings.

Maynooth finished the strongest, in 68th place. They are followed by DCU in 79th place. Limerick is ranked more generally, grouped with 49 other universities between 101 and 150.

École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne in Switzerland topped the table, but we’re pretty certain that’s just because of its fancy name.
