These counties can expect heavy downpours, thunderstorms and the chance of hail.
Following Monday’s weather alert, Met Éireann has issued another Status Yellow thunderstorm warning – this time for 17 counties.
Set to take effect from 12pm to 9pm on Tuesday (13 June), it applies to the province of Connacht, as well as the counties Cavan, Clare, Donegal, Kerry, Kildare, Laois, Limerick, Longford, Meath, Offaly, Tipperary and Westmeath.
“Localised slow-moving showers with heavy downpours, thunderstorms and the chance of hail,” the latest alert reads.
Met Éireann added that the possible impacts of the weather conditions include “localised spot flooding” and “difficult travelling conditions”.

The UK Met Office had already issued its own Status Yellow thunderstorm warning for Derry, Fermanagh and Tyrone, which is also set to be valid between 12pm to 9pm on Tuesday.
In terms of the Republic of Ireland’s weather for the coming week, Met Éireann forecasts a mix of plus-20-degree temperatures and sunny spells with showers and/or thunderstorms.
