Man in his 70s dies following fatal road crash in Tipperary

The incident occurred on Monday afternoon.

A man aged in his 70s has died following a fatal road traffic collision in Tipperary on Monday, 15 November.

The incident took place at approximately 4.15pm on Monday on Main Street in Borrisoleigh, involving a single vehicle.

The driver and sole occupant of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.

At the time of writing on Monday evening, the road is closed so that Gardaí forensic collision investigators may carry out an examination of the area.

Local diversions have been put in place.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward.

Any road users travelling in the vicinity at the time of the incident on Monday afternoon and who may have camera footage are asked to make contact with Gardaí.
