Tributes have poured in for a 'one of a kind' Irishman who tragically died last week in New Zealand.
Dillon Mc Dermott from Galway lost his life in a tragic accident which occurred in Queenstown, New Zealand, on October 22.
His death notice, shared on Rip.ie, reads: "It is with profound sadness that we announce the untimely death of Dillon Mc Dermott, Kylebroghlan, Moycullen, Co Galway, following an accident in Queenstown, New Zealand on 22nd October 2025.
"Dillon is deeply missed by his loving family, including his parents Tom and Patricia, his beloved fiancée Elle Burton, his brothers Sean Rossa and Lairgnen, along with Lairgnen's fiancé Ciara Elwood and his adored niece Laura.
"He is also sadly missed by the Burton family, including Debbie, Phillip, Owen, and Jessica, by Dillon's extended families aunts, uncles, cousins, and a community that has given Dillon a wonderful childhood as well as his faithful friends from all corners of the globe."
One friend paid tribute to Dillon, describing him as 'one of a kind' who 'lit up every room he entered'.
Another described his death as a 'huge loss to everyone who knew and loved him'.
Dillon's family are currently working to bring his body back home to Ireland, with his funeral arrangements set to be announced at a later date.
