This is quite the statement to make.
In the days following the tragic attack in Florida, the world watched as an emotional rally bringing together politicians and Marjory Stoneman Douglas students as they both called for a ban on weapons like the one used to kill 17 people at the Florida high school.
Just a few hours earlier, Robert Mueller’s special investigation team announced that they had officially charged 13 Russians with interfering in the 2016 US election.
There had been reports that the shooter at the Florida high school had been made a person of interest with local authorities, but there had been no real investigation put in place.
Was the FBI too wrapped up in the Russian investigation to stop the attack in Florida before it occurred?
Trump basically spelled it out that way on Twitter over the weekend:
Very sad that the FBI missed all of the many signals sent out by the Florida school shooter. This is not acceptable. They are spending too much time trying to prove Russian collusion with the Trump campaign – there is no collusion. Get back to the basics and make us all proud!

While Trump has been involved in a bit of war-of-words with the FBI and the justice department ever since the Russia investigation officially went ahead, the general reaction to his latest tweets consists of anger that the President would use these deaths as a way to score political points.
He continued to tweet, blaming the Democrats for not changing the gun laws when they were in power, and doubling down that the Trump administration never colluded with the Russians.
Just like they don’t want to solve the DACA problem, why didn’t the Democrats pass gun control legislation when they had both the House & Senate during the Obama Administration. Because they didn’t want to, and now they just talk!

I never said Russia did not meddle in the election, I said “it may be Russia, or China or another country or group, or it may be a 400 pound genius sitting in bed and playing with his computer.” The Russian “hoax” was that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia – it never did!
