In the hours following the attacks in London, President Trump took to Twitter to show his support.
He told the people of the UK that the U.S. will be there to assist in any way needed:
Whatever the United States can do to help out in London and the U. K., we will be there – WE ARE WITH YOU. GOD BLESS!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 3, 2017
However, before he sent that tweet, Trump brought up the travel ban again, urging the courts to grant the order to pass it:
We need to be smart, vigilant and tough. We need the courts to give us back our rights. We need the Travel Ban as an extra level of safety!

The Travel Ban effected six predominantly Muslim countries, and would bar people from those countries from entering the United States.
Back in March, the US court refused to reinstate the ban, but this week Trump made an emergency request that the US Supreme Court reinstate the ban, which has already been blocked by the lower courts.
While the Supreme Court very rarely grants any emergency requests, Trump is pursuing having the action passed.
The travel ban was a major part of Trump’s election campaign, with many critics claiming the ban would be discriminatory.
