A nation divided.
Donald Trump is going to be the next President of the United States. Please avoid the temptation to go back to bed (for four (or eight)) years and read on.
Trump won Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania, making his overall victory extremely likely. Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager John Podesta has sent her supporters home and told them to come back tomorrow, as they try to concoct a strategy to kill off the inevitable. Trump’s expected mandate is there for all to see and he has huge support around the country.
However, there are many Americans who are currently shitting themselves at the prospect of President Trump. He is a polarising figure for good reason. It is therefore perhaps not a coincidence that the Canadian immigration website is crashing from a sudden spike in concentrated traffic.
We can’t say for certain that this is due to panicking natives looking for a way out of Trump’s America, but if not it’s one hell of a coincidence…
