Homenews

#HomeToVote.

We like to give out about the candidates running for election on occasion, but it’s important that Irish people eligible to vote exercise their democratic right to do so and get to the polls today. The polls have been open from 7am this morning and plenty of people have been out to vote around the country already. It has been heartening to see that Irish people living abroad who are still eligible to vote recognise the importance of doing so and have been coming home in great numbers to exercise that right, as has been evident with the use of the #HomeToVote hashtag on Twitter. https://twitter.com/jc_ie/status/703136235166957568 https://twitter.com/staplemeg/status/703134524465545216 https://twitter.com/Aoibh/status/703133293340786688 https://twitter.com/conorlocky/status/702968385605345286 https://twitter.com/diylan/status/702840241154088960 https://twitter.com/Doireanndeb/status/703142319357169665 https://twitter.com/Aedraenodubh/status/703139515792134144 https://twitter.com/nomauvaisefoi/status/703121926227521536 Others, meanwhile, aren't travelling quite so far, but they have the right idea... https://twitter.com/TheOneRam/status/703131576561831936 https://twitter.com/KateDoughan/status/703130135763951617 Great to see.
