Man in his 30s in critical condition following collision in Cork

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

A man in his 30s is in a critical condition following a serious road traffic collision in Cork on Sunday night (3 April).

At approximately 9.30pm, two vehicles collided on the N71 at Tullineasky, Clonakilty.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a serious road traffic collision that occurred on the N71 at Tullineasky, Clonakilty, Co. Cork on Sunday night 3rd April, 2022 at approximately 9.30pm.

The driver of the first vehicle, a 35-year-old man, was seriously injured and removed to Cork University Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

The other driver, a 31-year-old man, was also seriously injured and has been taken to Cork University Hospital, where remains in a serious condition.

Gardaí are appealing to any person who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.

Anyone who was on the N71 on Sunday night between 9.15pm and 9.40pm is being asked to contact investigating Gardaí.

Similarly, any road users who were travelling in the area of the N71 at this time and who may have camera (including dash cam) footage, is asked to make these files available to Gardaí.
