Tyson Gay’s daughter, Trinity Gay, has been shot dead in a restaurant in Kentucky.
Trinity was 15-years-old. She is is said to have been shot in the neck while eating at the fast food restaurant, Cook Out, in Lexington, Kentucky.
Trinity died of her injuries on Sunday morning, just before 10am Irish time.
According to WKYT, a CBS-affliated television station in Lexington, police in Lexington responded to a call that shots had been fired at the restaurant on South Broadway.
The police say people in two cars exchanged gunfire and then drove away, Trinity was not in either car.
The station reports that Trinity Gay was taken to hospital with a gunshot wound to the neck.
Authorities are reported to be questioning two persons of interest in the case.
