The situation in Ottawa is currently ongoing

Canadian parliament is in lockdown following an apparent gun attack in the country’s capital city, Ottawa. According to a BBC report, shots were fired at the city’s National War Memorial and inside the parliament building itself, with a soldier believed to injured as a result.

Police have warned residents to stay away from windows and roofs as they search for the suspect or suspects at large. Earlier, this footage was captured by Josh Wingrove, a reporter for The Globe and Mail, showing the very scary moment that gunfire was exchanged between advancing police officers and a suspected criminal or criminals.

Additionally, security forces are now believed to be involved in a high-speed chase after the suspects.
