Video: CCTV captures magic moment ecstatic Galway man scores a hole in one worth €18K

You think he’s happy? We think he’s happy. In fact, we’re going to call him Happy Killimor(daly) from now on.

Sent into us by JOE reader and Public Relations Officer at Killimordaly Hurling Club, Paschal Whyte, this fantastically-soundtracked CCTV footage reveals the moment that young Padraig Hynes discovered he had scored a hole in one while playing in the Club’s AmAm.

Paschal writes, “Padraig was having a terrible day at the office, until he hit his first ever hole in one and won an €18K Mini Cooper, the video is his reaction after he sprints down from the tee box. What makes it sweeter is that he is just after finishing a Masters in college and needed a car for his new job so was a great kick start.”

We’re pretty impressed here at JOE HQ but, to be fair, we’ve scored loads and loads and loads of holes in one over the course of our own golfing career, there was just no CCTV camera there to capture it is all. We swear.

Check out Happy Killimor in action…
