Thankfully, by some miracle, nobody was hurt.

CCTV footage of a runaway lorry in Derry that crashed into a shopping centre has been released.

The vehicle was in the middle of being unloaded on Ferryquay Street at around 4.45am on Sunday when it started rolling away.

It made its way down Linenhall Street and Newmarket Street before ultimately crashing into the wall of the Foyleside Shopping Centre, which is on Orchard Street.

In the footage, the Poundland lorry can be seen pushing a car down a street and destroying several bollards as it flashes past the camera.

According to the BBC, police are keen to talk to three young men who were in the area at the time.
