Fire services had to comes to the aid of two people trapped in their car elsewhere in Liscannor, while up to 20 houses were flooded in Miltown Malbay.
According to RTÉ, several floods were reported between Lahinch and Doolin and in Co Galway, including Inverin, Rossaveal and Carraroe.
The wet weather will disappear today as brighter weather takes over, although Met Eireann report that heavy rain will return on Sunday evening.
