Video: Cork builders use unorthodox approach to levelling concrete

Health and Safety probably won’t like this…

In fairness, we have to hand it to these builders…

At least they were getting the job done with the tools at their disposal and not waiting around for hours until the bossman showed up with a broom handle.

JOE reader Adam Deane sent us in the video above and he explained to us what was going on: “I was coming down to the Sarsfield Road roundabout in Cork last Friday, on my way home from college when I pulled up to some traffic lights.

“To the right of me were a couple of builders and that’s when I saw it…

“This builder was trying to level a bit of concrete, but he couldn’t quite reach it, so his friend came up with a genius idea: put him in the bucket of the mini digger and anchor him out there.

“It’s just a pity I couldn’t record it for a bit longer, but what I witnessed was the best construction ingenuity and a safe pass instructor’s nightmare!”

Massive thanks to Adam Deane for sending this our way
