VIDEO: Dublin woman’s daughter tears Donald Trump apart in DNC speech

Tony Cuddihy

Donald Trump doesn’t speak for this woman, but she speaks for an awful lot of people.

Anastasia Somoza, whose mother Mary comes from Dublin, used her moment in the spotlight at the Democratic National Convention earlier this week to shoot down Donald Trump, the Republican presidential nominee.

Somoza, who lives with cerebral palsy and spastic quadriplegia, first met Bill Clinton when she was nine-years-old and later interned for Democratic nominee Hillary when she was in the US senate.

In an emotional speech, she took down The Donald by insisting, “he doesn’t speak for me.”

“Donald Trump has shown us who he really is,” she said.

“And I honestly feel sorry for anyone with that much hate in their heart.

“I know we will show each other, and the world, who we really are in November – when we choose genuine strength and thoughtful leadership – over fear and division. Donald Trump doesn’t see me, he doesn’t hear me, and he definitely doesn’t speak for me.”

This is her speech in full…
