The drama continues…

Pat Hickey was arrested in Rio de Janeiro today and his passport, accreditation and flight tickets were seized as part of an investigation into the unauthorised reselling of Olympic tickets.

He was arrested at the Olympic Council of Ireland’s hotel this morning when police called to his room.

Now, footage has emerged of the arrest itself with police outside his room and a scantly clad Pat Hickey opening the door, before retreating to his bathroom to clad himself in a robe.

The footage of the arrest was released by ESPN.com.br and can be viewed here.

The arrest decrees of Ken Murray, Michael Glynn and Eamon Collins were also issued, all three are part of the Pro 10 Company, who are also implicated in the investigation.

Earlier this week, Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport Shane Ross revealed that Pat Hickey had said there would be no co-operation from the OCI with any inquiry into tickets established by the Irish government.
