A wonderful spectacle in Croker…
Earlier in the day Croke Park played host to the National Football League finals, but soon afterwards it was transformed.
The 24 April is the calendar anniversary of the 1916 rising, with the rising beginning on this day 100 years ago.
Tens of thousands of people attended the special commemorative event in Croke Park following the conclusion of the Kerry and Dublin game.
It was quite a spectacle and surely an unforgettable experience for the many people who attended.
