Video: Jon Snow says smoking ‘skunk’ was worse than any war zone

The veteran Channel 4 broadcaster did not like it at all

The veteran Channel 4 broadcaster did not like it at all.

Jon Snow is one of the most respected journalists and broadcasters around. He is the face of Channel 4 News and he recently took part in a drug experiment documentary for Channel 4.

The reporter inhaled some ‘skunk’, which is a much more potent version of cannabis than it’s less potent version, known as hash.

Jon didn’t enjoy the experience and got very anxious when placed in an MRI machine to measure his brain activity.

During which, Snow said: “I don’t think I want to do this, it’s horrible. Can you let me out?”

He writes a blog for the Channel 4 website and in it he goes on to say, “I’ve worked in war zone but I’ve never been as overwhelmingly frightened as I was right then – and as I emerge from the scanner you see me blearily sitting up and hugging young Dr Rebecca for my dear life, as if she was my mother.”

The program will be aired by Channel 4 in March and it’s part of an experiment to measure the effect of ‘skunk’ upon people.

Recent reports have found that a quarter of all new psychotic episodes are linked to strong strains of the drug.
