An investigation is ongoing after an off duty FBI agent accidentally shot a bystander after performing a backflip at a bar in Denver.

In a story that you absolutely couldn’t make up if you tried, an off duty FBI agent is under investigation after he accidentally shot a man at a Denver bar.

The agent was dancing and showing off to a crowd of onlookers when, after he performed a backflip, his gun slipped out of his holster.

In retrieving the weapon, the gun went off and a man was shot just below the knee. The victim’s condition is not thought to be life threatening.

Sky News posted footage of the incident, which took place at the Mile High Spirits and Distillery bar.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Another angle shows the agent appearing to disappear into the crowd, holding his hands up after the gun goes off.
