Video: Scary high wind landing for Ryanair flight in Bristol

With wind speeds gusting between 120km/h and 150km/h yesterday, we have to take our hats off to this Ryanair pilot who was forced to land the plane sideways.

With wind speeds gusting between 120km/h and 150km/h yesterday, we have to take our hats off to this Ryanair pilot who was forced to land the plane sideways.

While the bad weather was ripping the roof off Cork’s Kent Train Station and submerging cars in rainwater in Salthill, Bristol in the UK was also being beaten by some pretty harsh winds.

The video below features a Ryanair flight landing in Bristol Airport that was forced to approach the runway using a sideslip manoeuvre due to the high crosswinds.

It just goes to show how ballsy you have to be to be an airline pilot…
