Video shows Gardaí throwing a female protester against a bollard in Dublin

This footage could be upsetting to some.

Protests over the government’s plans to bring in water charges got louder and more aggressive over the weekend, and this video shows the extent of the friction between the public and Gardaí.

This video was shared on Facebook this evening, during which a woman is thrown off a car with force by the Gardaí attending the scene at the Mansion House on Sunday.

While it cuts out before you can see the extent of the damage caused to the woman, the sound of the thud as she hits the bollard certainly shows that she was removed in the most heavy-handed fashion.
