Video shows Taiwanese army practicing urban warfare in front of mock Dublin pub
O'Donoghue's is reportedly preparing for a potential invasion...
A video showing the Taiwanese army practicing urban warfare has caught the eye of many Irish people familiar with a well-known Dublin pub.
In the fake street battle, units of military personnel are shown passing through a mocked up neighbourhood which features a building modelled on O'Donoghue's Bar on Merrion Row in Dublin.
Urban warfare demo in today’s #Taiwan military drills - some 90% of the population live in cities so platoons train specifically for this scenario. In a mock up town, troops try to storm buildings guarded by snipers. & of course there’s a 7/11 for added realism pic.twitter.com/rgSitrayAJ

Taiwan is under constant threat of an invasion by China, which says the self-ruled island is part of its territory and will be seized one day, by force if necessary.
China has ramped up incursions by military aircraft into the area over the last 12 months and has also publicised military drills simulating an invasion of Taiwan.
The Chinese government claims Taiwan as a province and is sensitive to any act or reference which appears to support Taiwan’s position that it is a sovereign nation.
Just wondering if this is something that we should be worried about @defenceforces 😳#BattleofMerrionRow #SendHelp https://t.co/VEJdqAwjW2
