Video: Simpsons creators thank protesters in Bolivia who marched against a change in the show’s airtime

Won’t somebody PLEASE think of the children?

“Thank you Bolivia! Muchas, muchas gracias.”

That’s what The Simpsons had to say to the 2000 protesters that took to the streets of La Paz in Bolivia earlier this month to demand that the show be reinstated to its evening airtime.

The thank you message, which was uploaded to Facebook last week, has been viewed a whopping 4.4 million times.

At the end of the video it says: “Thanks a lot to the educated mobs on Bolivian streets.”

As well as reinstating the show to its original time slot of 6pm, the Bolivian network in question, Unitel, also increased The Simpsons running time from 45 minutes a night to two full hours.

Great news all round…
