Video: The Irish eclipse was well and truly overshadowed by the daytime darkness in the Faroe Islands

Watch as an entire nation is plunged into darkness…

This morning’s eclipse barely cast a shadow over most of Europe (especially here in Ireland), but for the people of the Faroe Islands, their small nation was plunged into darkness just after breakfast.

This timelapse video from Lilja Hansen shows us just how dark it was under the eclipse and it really does look like some just flicked a light switch.
