Video: Water charges protestor sustains nasty-looking facial injuries in Dublin (NSFW)

A woman sustained the injury following an incident during a anti-water charges protest in Swords.

According to the Irish Times, Gardai say that the woman was one of four protestors who broke through a cordon outside Fingal county hall during the protest and attempted to gain access to the building.

As Gardai attempted to remove protestors, a pane of glass shattered and resulted in a number injuries, including to one woman who was left with blood streaming down her face.

The woman was treated by an ambulance and the scene and no arrests were made. Be warned, there is a fairly graphic-looking injury and some unsavoury language in the video below.

A video of the incident was posted on the Right 2 Water-Swords Facebook page this evening, where it was reported that the three women involved rejoined the protest after the incident.

It was also said that the three women visited Swords Garda station to make a complaint afterwards but were asked to return in the morning.
